On Tuesday afternoon, P6/7 were visited by one of our local Police Constables, PC McGill.  The pupils identified the different emergency services and how to contact them, considered whether different situations were emergencies or not and learned about the risks and consequences of abusing the 999 system.  The pupils were unsure of the non-emergency telephone number: 101.  PC McGill helped them to understand what this number is for and when to use it.  The pupils also had a very useful discussion about internet safety.  A big thank you to PC McGill for his excellent presentation and demonstration.  We look forward to welcoming him back to our school next month!
